Colleen Collette
When drawing, painting or taking photographs I work from intuition. I follow my curiosity. I ask, what if, what’s next, what if I…try this or that?
I am an artist and educator holding a BFA and a MAE from Texas Tech University. I taught art at Griffin Middle School in Frisco, Texas, and transitioned from teaching in the classroom to the museum space. For 13 years I was a museum educator at the Nasher Sculpture Center working with a variety of ages, community partners, and artists.
I’m currently a freelance artist and educator. In my new role I’ve had the opportunity to create interactive family resources for Ruby City, guide programs at the Irving Arts Center, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and the Warehouse and participate in pop-up markets in the community.
