Nicole Bernard is a lifelong artist, professional communicator and founder & chief maker of NB Makes, a Dallas-based ceramic jewelry, tableware and art culture brand. Nicole wholeheartedly believes that a good life is worth making, and that by surrounding ourselves with handmade, artisanal goods instead of mass-produced wares, our lives our better.
While Nicole has worked in clay for nearly a decade, NB Makes began in her Dallas apartment during the pandemic. She began by making small beads to pass the time during lockdown, and as she fell in love with the practice of working small, her passion grew, eventually leading to the online launch of a sold out collection
As a ceramicist, Nicole’s wearable art sits at the intersection of function and fine art, exploring the color-play of intimately-experienced architecture, landscapes and moments in time. Nicole's colored porcelain pieces are a daily reminder that a little beauty and fun is always within reach.
