The idea of VPQ jewelry was born from a need to help the islands of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, after a natural disaster called Hurricane Maria hit in 2017. I needed money to send care packages to my family and neighbors there, and I remembered a time my mom and I made quartz stone necklaces wrapped in gold wire. Simple, raw, and delicate. It was a hit among family and friends. Raw quartz necklaces were the pillar for proceeds that went towards these communities. Even though this effort was small, it was mighty to those in need.
After much debate whether to continue and start my own business, an online shop was started, grassroots marketing, pop ups and jewelry workshops were underway. Our signature stone the Rose Quartz is our best seller, and then came Tourmaline who took the spot; Milky Quartz, as well as Clear Quartz stones. Symbolizing the love, protection from negative energies, universal † happiness and clarity that surrounds us and how to harness those powers for our everyday lives.
